Nourish and moisturize

The first rule when caring for your hair extensions should be to moisturize. Hair without roots, which cannot draw beneficial power from within, is more prone to moisture loss and dryness. Extensions tangle much more easily than natural hair. They also have a greater tendency to frizz. Gently caring for your hair extensions is therefore essential. Only wash your hair in lukewarm water. Make sure to cleanse your scalp thoroughly. This is where most dirt and sebum accumulates. To distribute the shampoo through your hair, move your hands from top to bottom. Avoid circular motions, which may cause tangles and kinks. Wrap your hair gently in a towel after shampooing. Do not rub or scrub.
